Winnemia is a remote nature-based campsite, and as such services are limited.
There are two rustic toilets available for guests to use during their stay, however, we strongly encourage visitors to be self-sufficient for the duration of their stay. No electricity or potable water is provided. It is for this reason that booking in advance is essential.
A dump point for waste can be found at the Gascoyne Junction townsite (30km away).
Winnemia Campground is a remote nature-based campsite with minimal services available for visitors.
It is essential visitors come well-stocked with everything you need for you stay including supplies of food, water, fuel, camping and safety equipment. No electricity, fuel, or drinking water is provided.

Winnemia is accessible by a mixture of gravel and bitumen roads. Although we recommend a 4WD, Winnemia is accessible by a 2WD for those comfortable driving on unsealed gravel roads.
Heavy rain may make the road unsuitable, and we strongly advise you to check ahead.
The roads surrounding Winnemia, and in particular access to the Kennedy Range National Park is suitable for 4WD only.
Winnemia is located in a remote part of Western Australia which has no access to mobile 3G or 4G coverage.
There is 3G/4G phone coverage within 20km of the Gasyone Junction townsite and Carnarvon (150km).
We encourage you to carry a satellite phone, EPIRB, or other GPS tracking device in case of an emergency.
You are encouraged to tell family and friends about your intended travel plans and anticipated dates of return.
Those visitors with a Starlink or similar system will be able to have internet access at Winnemia.
Entry to Winnemia is via an unsealed gravel road, and although this road is graded regularly we recommend you check the road conditions. Heavy rainfall or bushfire can lead to road closures.

The Gascoyne Region can experience extremes in weather and temperatures. We strongly recommend you plan ahead and ensure you have enough food, water, and weather-appropriate gear for your stay.

Winnemia is a remote campsite and for visitor safety, booking in advance is essential.
Yes, however we ask that you let us know ahead of time so we can make sure the noise does not disturb other visitors.
We also ask that generators are only used between 9:30am - 5pm.
Meals are available at the Gascoyne Junction Pub (30km). You can find more info at www.junctiontouristpark.com
The Junction Pub and Tourist Park also carries a small line of convenience, grocery, and automotive supplies.
The nearest petrol station is at Gascoyne Junction, approximately 36km east of Winnemia.
Fuel is also available at Carnarvon (150km) and we strongly recommend visitors fill up there before heading out to Winnemia.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Winnemia. Due to Winnemia's location we can not guarantee pet safety.
Please note that pets are not allowed into the Kennedy Range National Park.
