About Winnemia

We are actively trying to restore the environment around Winnemia, and we ask that you help us to achieve that.

When visiting Winnemia please be careful to stay on the designated roads to minimise biosecurity risks and prevent erosion, and take all your rubbish with you.

Winnemia Campground is a remote nature-based campsite, and facilities are limited.  There are two rustic toilets available for guests to use during their stay, however, we strongly encourage visitors to be self-sufficient for the duration of their stay. 

No electricity or potable water is provided. It is for this reason that booking in advance is essential.

A dump point for waste can be found at the Gascoyne Junction townsite (30km away).

Winnemia is the perfect place to sit back and relax on the banks of the Gascoyne River.

Activities encouraged include:

• Hiking and walking
• Birdwatching
• Photography
• Swimming (when river is flowing)
